The Miniatures are small (5×3 inches) paintings in mixed media. These are abstract explosions of color painted by renowned visual artist and Silk Screen founder Harish Saluja. The miniatures are inspired by the traditional miniature art from India that has been known for centuries. The artist has given that concept a modern, abstract interpretation. Often these miniatures serve as the basis for much larger pieces of work. These mini paintings can be framed individually or in groups of 4 or 6. Often people use these as bookmarks.
Artist Harish Saluja was born in India and has lived and painted in the US since 1971. His work is shown regularly in various galleries and museums in the US and abroad.
Praise for the series:
“Vibrant and dynamic, Harish’s minis are some of my most valued possessions. They are small, passionate works of art, which have become a favorite expression of joy I like to share with friends and family. I feel extremely lucky to own a number of these one-of-a-kind pieces, as each one is an amazing creation, unique in content and substance.”

“I am the proud owner of two Harish Saluja’s originals paintings. They hang in my living room on each side of my front door. I cannot count how many compliments I have received from guests and not a day passes that they do not give me joy. They are each very small in size only about 3×5, yet they somehow feel infinite. You get lost in thought as your eye wanders through the layers of beautiful and vibrant color. They are quite magical. I have no doubt there will be a third in my future!”

“I own a number of Mr. Saluja’s smaller pieces, displaying them both as grouped wall art, and table-top items. People are drawn to them because they’re so different and colorful. They can’t resist getting up close to see the intricate details of his work. Of all my art, they are the most consistently mentioned in day to day conversation.”

“Harish Saluja’s work is infused with abstract complexities. The intricate patterns and bold colors energize the works and engage the viewer. Every time I look at his paintings, I see them for the first time, noting different expressive forms. Like great lyric poetry, Harish’s art is profoundly personal and extraordinarily present.”
