Join AppalAsia for this free performance at Three Rivers Arts Festival!

AppalAsia combines the influences of Appalachian and Asian music traditions with original composition and inspired improvisation to create their unique musical voice. Using erhu, dulcimer, banjo, and vocals they have created a cross-cultural musical experience that draws on their collaboration of traditions with an ear toward the future. The group is comprised of Jeff Berman, Mimi Jong, and Sue Powers.

Fresh Works is Kelly Strayhorn Theater’s month-long creative learning program for Pittsburgh-based artists.
