A fairytale tragedy with the colorful attitude of "Amélie" and style of "Citizen Kane", Memories of Matsuko tells the life story of a woman found dead in a park through the eyes of her nephew Sho, who has been charged with cleaning out his recluse aunt's garbage-filled apartment. Whether teacher, yakuza girlfriend, sister, girlie film star, estranged sibling or murderess, Matsuko's search for love slowly spirals downward into despair - but we're with her every step of the way.
